Washing machine started shaking violently during spin and not spinning clothes dry regardless of load size. One day the lock stuck and would not release. After manually releasing it (resets didn’t work) I ran the diagnostic and it landed on sensing. Could it be the shift actuator? And if so, is there a difference in parts compatibility between the DW2 and DW1 models. Thanks!

Did it do the violent spin just on that load, it was unbalanced? All other loads are spinning normal?

In your tech. data sheet, I'm attaching below, you can get into the ACTIVATING THE SERVICE DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODES and see what fault codes you get, if any.

On Page 2 of your tech. data sheet do: ACTIVATING THE SERVICE DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODES

Then do FAULT CODE DISPLAY MODE on Page 3--->Then you can see what fault code/codes you are getting on Page 6 and Page 7: FAULT/ERROR CODES

The violent spin happens about 5 out of 10 loads. After the last one it was stuck in locked even after a reset and now won’t start at all. It’s getting power but won’t start any cycles. I’ll try out the diagnostics your sent. Thanks!
