WTW5300SQ0 Whirlpool Washer - Stains in clean clothes? Oil? Other?

So we've been getting some stains in our clothes on and off for probably over a year now. This is a shirt that was washed and hung dry and it dried with these stains. I've been reading it could be oil from the washer, but not sure. That stain is pretty big, and I don't see any kind of oil floating on top of the water when I filled it up with just water. Water looks very clear. Not even sure if I'd be able to see oil in the water. Is there a way to test the water? Any other help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You'd need to remove the agitator base to see if the transmission oil is coming up into the clothes.

Here's the agitator base for your model:

Jake, Thank you so much for the reply. I took it off and this is what I got. Doesn't really look oily. What do you think?

Its starting to rust and I see what looks like black grease coming out of the transmission shaft, that's certainly not a good sign.

Does you use fabric softener in the washer?
