Good morning, everyone! Long time lurker, first time postern I have a Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer WTW8900BC0 approximately 7 or 8 years old. Current issue is that the drain pump intermittently runs continuously at the end of the cycle maybe once every 5th or 6th load. When that happens, sometimes it runs for a few minutes, sometimes it runs for an hour. Nothing I attempt to try seems to fix it when it's stuck. If it's running when I attempt diagnostic mode, it faults at the fill test (because it pumps it out as fast as it fills). If the pump is not running when I start the diagnostic mode, it cycles thru and completes just fine. When it's stuck on, pulling the P4 connector off, the pump stops (as one would expect). There is no continuity to ground thru the motor connector. Resistance thru the motor windings is 16.2 ohms (a touch high, but it runs, so probably not an issue). With P4 disconnected, when I plug in the machine, it sends 120vac to that output on the board. Level sensor hose is clear, unobstructed, and tight. I just recalibrated the level sensor this morning, and it's running a load now, but I'm not convinced that'll fix it.

When it gets stuck on, it's always right at the very end of the cycle, never in the middle. No amount of banging, jiggling, or shaking seems to make it stop when it's stuck on.

Seems like the only other option is the board. Is there anything else I should check first?

Thanks!

How did it do today?

If this problem keeps happening, its likely a faulty control board: Cntrl-Elec W10761026 but Its No Longer Available from the factory.

Three cycles since I recalibrated the sensor and it hasn't done it (yet). Fingers are crossed....

If the control board turns out to be faulty, and new ones are no longer available, any suggestions?

Thanks!
