YMEDE300VF0 Maytag 3000 series Dryer - runs continuously with no heat until door is opened

This dryer keeps running with no heat and would only stop if the door is opened. It runs even with the power off on the display panel. When I do put the power on and a cycle is selected, pressing the start button doesn't do anything. I hear a beep but the cycle doesn't start.

Hi,

Sounds like something is stuck/sticking on the control board.
Expensive little bugger, might even be worse above the 49th parallel.
