ZDIS15 GE Stand Alone Ice Maker - Tube identification and Purpose

I recently picked up a used GE Mongram ice maker and am trying to identify the purpose of a rigid plastic tube that was inside but not attached to anything. It is ~9” long and one end is cut at 45 degree angle. The other in is cut straight. Picture attached.

Any insight appreciated.
