We've had a recurrent E15 leak during the wash cycle, and I tracked the leak down to where the zeolite container goes up into the tub, on the inside back right corner of the tub. There's a black plastic ring under the zeolite container cover that looks cracked, and it's loose - it seems like it's some kind of sealing ring that should be able to screw down to lock into place.

The cover itself though (with the "hot do not touch" symbol on it) seems rigidly connected and I can't seem to easily remove it to access the black plastic ring to examine/replace it.

The picture on the inside of the dishwasher shows the piece that appears broken (black ring under metal zeolite container cover) and the picture on the outside shows where the leak comes out that triggers the E15 warning.

Any thoughts o wise community?

Thanks!

SHP878ZD5N is not pulling up as good, please recheck your model number. The model number tag should be located inside the door on the tub frame, take a photo of it if its hard to read.

I still can't get that model number to pull up anywhere, even with the "/01" at the end, sorry I can't help you on this one.

Thanks for trying! I appreciate it.

Do you see any other Bosch 800 model? I think they all have the same "crystal dry" system that's giving me the leak...

I'm not that familiar with Bosch appliances, never were trained or worked on them.

I was just going to look up that part for you and hopefully locate a video for you that would help you replace that leaking seal.

I'm leery of trying to sub another model number to yours, as it may not be the same part your machine needs.

Its best to have a Bosch Tech. come out and fix this for you since I cannot find any parts diagrams for your model, or go to your local appliance parts store in your area and they will likely have the parts diagram to look it up for you.

I found this thread searching for help with this exact issue. My model number is SHV878ZD3N/01

The "cap" just pulls straight off, and there is a thin plastic ring nut that holds the container assembly to the tub with a seal in between. On mine, the ring nut gets less than finger tight before jumping threads and being loose again. This seems like a tremendously poor design choice, and I see no real "fix" for it.

Does anyone have any input on a permanent fix?

Edit: Took another look at mine and... yep... the ring nut is cracked. That explains everything. I have another nut on order (flipping $20 garbage Bosch part), and in the interim, I've superglued the cracked part and I'll try it later. I have no doubt this will work.

I'm so psyched to see your post, but sad to hear you have the same problem. What part did you order? I can't find a part number - nobody even recognizes my dishwasher model #! Also when I removed the ring, I can't find a rubber o-ring, so I've got a bunch coming from Amazon and hopefully one of them fits my superglued ring.....but now you've given me hope I can replace the ring!!

:)

Ordered the replacement (metal) ring - I used JBWELD on the original ring so I'm hoping it will work....trying right now!

Good luck! I ran a load this morning with the ring superglued and finger-tight, and it was absolutely dry underneath. I think this is a fairly easy fix to a problem that never should have happened.

Update: glued plastic ring nut didn't really hold. It would loosen up every cycle.

Replacement metal ring nut came today and immediately gave a strong hold. Hopeful that this fixes the problem. Shameful of Bosch to make us beta testers on their premium products.

OMG the ring worked perfectly, but now I have a new fault - getting E:07 error. It seems from reports online this is related to dryer fan, but it happens in the middle of the cycle. I wonder if I messed something up in the Crystal Dry system....

Just came across this as I'm experiencing the same issue. Water is coming out the zeolite part and when removing the cap and inspecting the ring seal, it is cracked. Just ordered the part mentioned above so hopefully will work. Has it fixed the issue for you guys? I have the SHPM78Z54N/01 but all seems to be the same as in this thread. Thanks for the info!

Update to my post. Got the part mentioned above, installed and no more leaks. Just crazy that such an expensive machine had a cheap part that seems to easily break. Hopefully this will last for years to come.

Excellent, glad to hear that.(y)

Thanks for the update!

Did you ever get this fixed? Running into the same issue

I am having the same issue. I don't want to break the "cap" on the inside of the dishwasher....are you pulling it straight up or out towards the door? Seems like pulling it up is the way to go but mine won't budge. I don't want to cause more damage being careless. Can someone fill me in on how you got the cap off?

I thought the same thing because I couldn't get the cap off easily, but it comes straight up with a little force and maybe a slight wiggle. It doesn't seem like anything else would break because the cap is tension fitted on the metal pipe. So far things have been holding up good for the past month and a half with no leaks. Good luck!
