• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Hi all I have a GE ZSC2201NSS 01 Advantium speedcook oven. I have two problems.
First, the microwave thermostats part 1430 on diagram, part #WB21X10046 and or part 1431 on diagram, part #WB21X10148 keeps blowing After about 4-6 months, I have replaced them several times. This controls the option for convection bake/broil. Does anyone have a fix or solution why they keep blowing .

Second, just yesterday my halogen heat assembly is not lighting up when speedcook is used, part on diagram 286 part #WB44X10053. does anyone know if a fuse or thermal breaker can cause this to shut down. I replaced this 1 year ago and my original was going bad.

Last but not least I am looking for the service manual for this oven to help diagnose and repair.
thanks

Regards,
Bob

That's the mag tube TCO. Most likely the mag tube is wearing out. Over time, as it wears out, it gets hotter when it's energized. The mag tube has been discontinued

Sears used to have the most up to date parts lists. It's getting to be you have to check multiple sites to get a correct answer.

I'm wondering if it was better when everyone used the same parts microfiche to look up parts?

I don't know why it showed discontinued??? Thanks Dan

It shows discontinued on the Sears site
I've been seeing that a lot of as late too Rick, I always copy and paste the part number from Sears and put it in AppliancePartsPros and 9 out of 10 times it pulls up good.:)

thanks for the information I guess I will order a new one. Is there a way to test first to see if this parts is not performing to spec via a volt meter? Or being that it is 10 years old and used most every day it’s time to replace?
